The No. 18 is awarded to a player at LSU who is a successful leader on and off the field. Tigers’ 2003 national title-winning quarterback Matt Mauck passed the jersey to fullback Jacob Hester, who helped LSU win another national championship in 2007. Since then, the passing along of No. 18 has been an annual tradition for the program.

Last season, Moreau finished fourth on the team in receptions (24) and yards (278).
As an all-state tight end at Jesuit in 2014, Moreau helped the Blue Jays win the school’s first state championship since 1960.
