Former LSU and Edna Karr defensive end Isaiah Washington tweeted Tuesday he intends to transfer to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

After announcing his plans to leave LSU on July 20, Washington will join another former LSU defender, cornerback Saivion Smith, as a transfer to the Magnolia state JUCO.

The 6-foot-4, 236-pound Washington spent two years at LSU including a redshirt campaign thanks to an ACL injury in the spring of 2016. During his true freshman season, he made three tackles and forced a fumble in six games played.
