LSU head coach Jay Johnson is juggling significant roster turnover while also needing to replace his top two assistants.
However, program made changes for the better Friday afternoon.

D1baseball.com reports the Tigers gained commitments from a pair of high-profile transfers, North Carolina State slugger Tommy White and Vanderbilt pitcher Christian Little.

Nicknamed Tommy “Tanks” for his power at the plate, the 6-foot-4, 242-pound White posted a .362 average with 27 home runs and 74 RBI this past season to set a new NCAA freshman home run record. The St. Pete Beach, Fla. native was named ACC Freshman of the Year.

Little, a 6-foot-4 right-hander, went 4-4 record with a 4.65 ERA in two seasons with the Commodores. The soon-to-be 19 year old has already struck out 95 batters in 81.1 college innings.

The pair join Dylan Tebrake, two-time Big East Pitcher of the Year, and Jack Pineda, former Baylor starting shortstop, as significant portal acquisitions for LSU so far this offseason.
