Anthony Bradford
Ed Orgeron understands that the LSU Tigers will have to continue to address the offensive line in recruiting in order to compete with the best in the SEC. Size and strength is vital.

LSU added their 10th overall pledge and their fourth offensive lineman for the 2019 class with the commitment of Anthony Bradford out of Muskegon, Michigan.

Currently a right tackle, the 6-foot-4 1/2, 358 pound Bradford fielded offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, Georgia, Michigan State, Indiana, Minnesota and Kentucky. He is termed as a mauler with significant upside, having just turned 17 years old. LSU assistant offensive line coach James Cregg has been the lead recruiter for the Tigers.

Bradford made two recent visits, one to LSU and another to Tennessee. The seventh overall ranked player in the state of Michigan was drawn to LSU due to the hospitality he experienced on his visit and and a strong connection with head coach Ed Orgeron and the rest of the Tigers coaching staff.

Bradford’s mom also has family in Louisiana. Bradford, who has saidloves chicken wings with honey barbecue sauce, fell in love with the cuisine in Baton Rouge, particularly crawfish.

A physical, downhill blocker, Bradford can be dominating as a run blocker. He will drive his opponent 15 yards downfield. He fires out of his stance and and attacks defenders with great power below the waist in his legs. He took up football in seventh grade as a 6-1, 220 pounder. A tremendous teammate, he is very humble.

Bradford will need work on his pass blocking and will have to monitor his weight.

LSU also has 2019 commitments from Southern Lab’s Kardell Thomas (6-3, 356), Teurlings Catholic’s Thomas Perry (6-6, 325) and IMG Academy center Charles Turner (6-4, 260).
