Sophomore forward Emmitt Williams is the latest LSU basketball player to confirm he is returning to school.

The 6-foot-6 forward was among six players from LSU’s Sweet 16 team to declare for the NBA draft last month but he is returning the program like teammates Javonte Smart, Skylar Mays and Marlon Taylor.

Tremont Waters and Naz Reid also declared early for the draft, and the top two scorers from last year’s Tigers will go pro.

Williams averaged 7.0 points per game on a freshman program record 61.4 percent from the floor and added 5.4 rebounds per contest.
