EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice has announced the beginning stages of an Athletic Master Plan, which will consist of either a complete renovation or upgrades to all athletic facilities on campus.

“The goal of this Master Plan assures that we as an institution can continue to compete at the highest level,” LSU Eunice Athletic Director Jeff Willis said. “We want to create a space that our community can take pride in and serve as a showcase facility for our area.”

The project is being spearheaded by Angelle Architects. The Breaux Bridge based business will have an on-campus satellite office during the initial planning and design steps of the Master Plan.

“Victory on the field of play is what dreams are made of. The success of Coach Willis and the entire athletic department at LSU Eunice has set the national standard for excellence,” said Glenn E. Angelle AIA NCARB, President of Angelle Architects. “It is an honor for us at Angelle Architects to work with him designing best-in-nation facilities for student-athletes, their families, and fans to live out their dreams.”

Some of the key concepts in the LSUE Athletic Master Plan include a renovation of Bengal Stadium and Lady Bengal Field, the construction of a student-athlete performance center as well as upgrades to both the Bengal Soccer Complex and HPRE Center.

“The driving force behind this Master Plan is to ensure that we give our student-athletes a first class experience that is second to none, both in the field of play and in the classroom,” added Willis.

LSU Eunice has assembled a steering committee to help seek out interested contributors within the LSUE community.

Full details and initial renderings will be unveiled soon as LSUE plans for an official kick-off for the release of the Athletic Master Plan.
