LSU-Alabama football game in 2019 will not air on CBS at night
The tradition of the LSU-Alabama football game airing live in primetime on CBS is at least taking a hiatus.
The streak of the Tigers playing the Crimson tide in eight-straight primetime games on CBS will come to an end in 2019, according to an early SEC schedule from the network.

LSU visits Tuscaloosa to face Alabama in their annual SEC West showdown Saturday, November 9 but CBS does not have a doubleheader scheduled on that date. This means the game will air at 2:30 p.m. on CBS or at a time to be determined on another network.
The news may be a positive for LSU. The last time the Tigers and Tide faced off during the day was 2010 in Baton Rouge when LSU earned an upset 24-21 victory. Since then, the only time Alabama has lost to LSU in the last nine meetings was their 2011 overtime thriller, 9-6, at night at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
