LSU adds veteran NFL, college assistant Kevin Coyle as defensive analyst

Veteran assistant coach Kevin Coyle is joining the LSU staff was a defensive analyst, according to multiple reports.

The 62-year-old Coyle spent the past two seasons as the defensive backs coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, who parted ways with him in January.

Coyle had spent the previous 17 years in the NFL, including a stint as defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins from 2012-15. On the college level, he has served as defensive coordinator at Fresno State, Maryland, Syracuse and Holy Cross.
