RUSTON – Louisiana Tech Men’s Basketball announced on Monday the 2018-19 Conference USA schedule which is highlighted by home games versus five of the top six finishers in the league last season.

In the final three weeks, the Bulldogs will take on four opponents (five dates available) that will be determined at the end of the 14-game preset schedule.

“This conference schedule gives our programs a greater opportunity to showcase the strength of our league and compete nationally on Selection Sunday,” head coach Eric Konkol said. “Concluding the regular season with four games in this unique format will also be exciting for players and fans.”

The conference season will open up in the Thomas Assembly Center on Dec. 29 against Southern Miss in what will be the 82nd meeting between the two programs.

LA Tech will then hit the road to start the new calendar year to battle North Texas (Jan. 3) and Rice (Jan. 5). The ‘Dogs will return home the following weekend to go up against UAB and defending C-USA regular season champion Middle Tennessee.

The team returns to the road on Jan. 17 to face Old Dominion in what will be a rematch of last season’s C-USA Tournament quarterfinal matchup. The Bulldogs will then head to the state of North Carolina to face Charlotte on Jan. 19.

LA Tech comes back to the TAC on Jan. 24 to go up against reigning C-USA tournament champion Marshall, followed by a matchup with the runner-up finisher WKU on Jan. 26.
