You can catch the Catholic League rematch between No. 3 Archbishop Rummel and No. 6 Brother Martin Friday night at Joe Yenni Stadium in the LHSAA Division I quarterfinals on WGSO 990 AM and at WGSO.com.

The game will be part of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report. Trahan will be joined by Phil Greco, Easten Roth, Jordan Liuzza and Jay Romig on the call of the game.

Countdown to The Original begins at 6:05 p.m. with Ro Brown and Les East with previews of the top playoff games around the state with the pre-game show for Rummel and Brother Martin beginning at 6:45 p.m. before the kickoff at 7.

Jude Young and Emmanuel Pepis will have scoreboard updates of all playoff games throughout the game broadcast from CrescentCitySports.com. Live reports from many of the games will air at halftime and at the conclusion of the battle between the Raiders and Crusaders.

Following the game, Brown and East take over with the rest of The Original with analysis and all score updates.

Rummel (8-2) defeated Brother Martin 17-0 on Oct. 19 at Tad Gormley Stadium. Donovan Kaufman returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, Jaelen Sturgis rushed for 118 yards and the Raiders held the Crusaders to just 41 yards rushing.

Senior quarterback and UL-Lafayette commit Chandler Fields has completed 79-of-134 passes for 1,054 yards and nine touchdowns and has rushed 93 times for 416 yards and six touchdowns. Sturgis has rushed 175 times for 1,014 yards and 10 touchdowns. Junior Koy Moore, a USC commit, has 33 catches for 467 yards and two touchdowns. Kaufman is the top defender with 64 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and two touchdowns.

Brother Martin (7-4) has won three straight games. The Crusaders lost starting quarterback Drew Martin in a week seven loss to Holy Cross. Freshman Garrett Mmahat has taken over most recently and has done an excellent job, throwing a pair of touchdown passes. Brady Faust is the top receiver with 40 catches for 577 yards and three touchdowns while Chris Smith is the leading rusher with 198 carries for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns. Linebacker Beau Ranlett is the leading tackler with 89 stops.
