With Crescent City Christian already into the Division V state championship game by virtue of its 75-61 win over Grace Christian Monday,  three more area schools look to achieve the same feat today and tonight.

In the Class 4A semifinals at 3 p.m., 18th-seeded McDonogh 35 looks to continue its Cinderella run to a state title when the Roneagles (20-14) battle third-seed Woodlawn of Shreveport (30-5) at 3 p.m.

McDonogh 35 went to north Louisiana and upset 15th-seed Bastrop 54-51 before shocking second-seed Bossier 80-78 in the regional round. In the quarterfinals, the Roneagles won at home over 23rd-seed St. Martinville 68-67 to reach the final four.

In Division II, a pair of area teams have a shot at the title game.

At 6:15 p.m. fourth-seed Lusher Charter (21-7) battles top-seed and traditional power St. Thomas More (22-9) at 6:15 p.m. The Lions are in the final four for the first time. They advanced by defeating 13th-seed Archbishop Hannan 63-50 before downing fifth-seeded St. Louis Catholic 50-44 in the quarterfinals.

Defending state champion and third-seed De La Salle (20-10) faces a rematch with second-seed University Lab (18-11) at 8 p.m.

As a third-seed a year ago, the Cavaliers upset the top-seeded Cubs 81-69 in the state championship game for its first state championship since 1986, ending the three-year reign of University Lab as Division II state champions.

The two sides are meeting for the third time in as many years in the playoffs in a rubber match. In 2016, U-High whipped De La Salle 67-45 in the Class 3A quarterfinals.

It has developed into quite a rivalry between the Cavs and Cubs.

University Lab defeated De La Salle 45-19 for the Division II state championship in football on Dec. 8 of last year.
