The contract is a one year deal, first reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fournette, the former LSU and St. Augustine star, was waived Monday by the Jaguars. The former number four overall pick rushed for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns over three seasons with Jacksonville. However, the Jags did not pick up his fifth-year option this offseason and were previously rumored to be shopping him in the offseason.
Now, Fournette is on track to make his Tampa Bay debut in his hometown of New Orleans against the Saints on Sept. 13.
Could be mistaken, but I believe the Sept. 13 opener vs. the Saints will be Leonard Fournette's first-ever game in the Superdome.
