Parkway pulled away from Minden, 48-28, to open the season Friday night.

Gabriel Larry accounted for seven touchdowns – four passing and three rushing- while Darius Patterson had three interceptions with four tackles to lead the Panthers.

Minden didn’t not go quietly, however, keeping pace into the second half with the help of a kick return for a touchdown by D’ Quotez Ridley.

Seth Johnson scored two touchdowns by Minden but it was not enough.

Larry threw a 66-yard touchdown pass to Jalun Reed in the first quarter to set the tone.

“We had great performances and the offense played well,” said Parkway head coach Neil May. “we need better coverage on special teams and have to avoid the big play on defense.”

Parkway will play North Desoto next Friday night while Minden looks for their first win at Haynesville.
