Landry-St. James football game set for Thursday at Southern University

Landry will finally get to open its delayed 2021 season this week but it will not be a local game.

The Chargin’ Bucs will play St. James at Southern University’s Mumford Stadium at 7 p.m. Thursday.

St. James got to open its season with a 37-27 win at Archbishop Shaw last Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats won the Class 3A state championship in 2019.

Landry won the Class 5A state title in 2016.
