No. 13 seed L.B. Landry (4-5) has had to forfeit its Select Division II playoff game with No. 20 Vandebilt Catholic due to the use of a pair of ineligible players during the season. The school must forfeit their regular season victories as well.

LHSAA Executive Director Eddie Bonine confirmed the forfeit Thursday morning to Crescent City Sports.

The game had been set for Friday night.

As a result, the Terriers (4-6) advance to the regional round to take on unbeaten No. 3 seed De La Salle.

“It is unfortunate. You feel bad for the kids,” Vandebilt Catholic coach Tommy Minton said. “We will simply get ready to prepare for De La Salle now.”
