Lakeshore’s Chris Penton named Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club, CrescentCitySports.com Prep Player of Week

Lakeshore High School quarterback Chris Penton of Lakeshore has chosen as The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club and CrescentCitySports.com Prep Player of the Week in the Greater New Orleans area for week one of the prep football season.

The senior Penton completed 19-of-23 passes for 362 yards and a school record seven touchdowns as the Titans downed Fontainebleau 49-10 in a game dedicated to Greg Battistella, the Lakeshore assistant football coach and head baseball coach who recently suffered a stroke.

Penton is coached by Craig Jones. He will be honored at the year-end luncheon of the GNOSF Quarterback Club on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Rock ‘n’ Bowl.

The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback meets weekly each Tuesday through Dec. 12 at Rock ‘n’ Bowl. All are welcome to attend, with speakers on the Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep each week.
