MILAN, Italy – The LSU Lady Tigers completed a clean sweep of the games on their exhibition tour of Italy on Saturday as LSU defeated their toughest opponent, Holland’s FSG Academy Royal Eagles, 83-50.

LSU, which travels back to the United States on Sunday, finished the tour 3-0.

This proved to be the toughest of the three games as far as LSU getting the advantage that they had at the end of 20 minutes in the first two contests, this time against a team that included among its players the former Texas A&M player, Courtney Williams.

LSU opened up a 22-13 lead after one period, but only was able to sustain a 36-28 advantage at the half. However, it was the third quarter in which the Lady Tigers took charge, outscoring FSG, 33-9, to open the game up to 69-37 in favor of LSU.

She wasn’t the leading scorer for the Lady Tigers but for the third straight game Ayana Mitchell showed the potential of what her sophomore year could be like for LSU with another double double of 14 points and 12 rebounds after a 21-17 game two days before.

Redshirt freshman Faustine Aifuwa had 15 points and eight boards, while senior Raigyne Moncrief flirted with a triple double with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight steals. Freshman Dekeriya Patterson also had 11 points, while Khayla Pointer had 10 points, seven assists and four steals.
