RUSTON — Louisiana Tech fans attending this weekend’s home game against Mississippi State need to be familiar with some game-day information surrounding the contest.

Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State both enter this weekend’s game 1-0 on the season and are meeting for the 13th time on the gridiron. The contest is set to kickoff at 6:30 p.m.

This weekend’s promotions include the Loyal Blue Out sponsored by Origin Bank as 3,000 loyal blue out rally towels will be given away to the first fans into the stadium. Both the Bulldog and Lady Techster basketball teams will be introduced during the game while fireworks are part of the halftime show.

Single game tickets are still on sale as Tech officials are preparing for a possible sellout. Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling the Tech Ticket Office at 318-257-3631. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance of the game.

The LA Tech Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and the ticket booths on both the east and west sides of Joe Aillet Stadium will open Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Gates to the stadium open at 5 p.m.

The City of Ruston will once again offer the “Tech Trolley” service this weekend. Using iShuttle Transportation Service, the “Tech Trolley” will run continuously from the Trolley Stop in Railroad Park on Vienna Street in downtown Ruston to the Davison Athletics Complex. Signage showing the pickup and drop-off locations will be available on game days.

The “Tech Trolley” will begin running at 1:30 p.m. and will run up to one hour after the game ends. Fans can download the iShuttle Corporate app and utilize the password ruston to track the trolley in route.

The “Tech Trolley” is a quick easy way to avoid the game day hassle of parking and will take priority over all other traffic in route to Joe Aillet Stadium.

One of the centerpieces of Loyal Blue Weekend is the Rock the Railroad series on Friday nights of home football weekends. This event will be held at Railroad Park in downtown Ruston and will start at 5:30 p.m. with live music followed by a Bulldog Football pep rally at 6:15 p.m. For more information on this event and other Loyal Blue Weekend events, go to

Fans are also reminded about parking changes for this season.

All vehicles without a Red Lot parking pass will be prohibited from entering Bulldog Drive off West Alabama Avenue after 8 a.m. on game days. Anyone tailgating on the north side of the Thomas Assembly Center should make arrangements to arrive and set up prior to 8 a.m. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Individuals possessing parking passes for this season are reminded that there are individual parking passes for each game. Please make sure to bring the game specific parking pass as the wrong pass will not gain access to the parking lots.

As individuals enter their respective parking lot, they will be required to turn in their parking pass to the lot attendance. Anyone who leaves the parking lot and plans to return to the stadium will receive the parking pass back which will allow re-entry into the lot.

Stadium entry instructions for parking lots are as follows:

Suite Lot pass holders may enter at Tech Drive or at West Alabama Avenue by Hideaway Park.

Blue Lot pass holders must enter at West Alabama Avenue at the southwest corner of Joe Aillet Stadium.

Red Lot pass holders may enter at Tech Drive or West Alabama Avenue by Hideaway Park.

White Lot pass holders must enter at the Tech Drive entrance. Overflow parking for the White Lot will be located at the rugby field between the designated White Lot and Tech Drive. If that field is unavailable due to weather, overflow traffic will be directed to Ruston High School parking lot.

Young Alumni pass holders must enter the Young Alumni Lot off Western Street, which can be accessed at Bearcat Drive or West Alabama Avenue. This parking lot is not an athletic lot; therefore, alcohol is not permitted inside the lot.

All Bulldog fans are invited to enjoy the game-day experience this season as Tech Athletics unveils a new and improved Bulldog Village, located beside Argent Pavilion. Bulldog Village will open at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and will include corporate tailgates as well as family-friendly activities such as bounce houses, a photo booth, autographs with the Lady Techster soccer team and live music provided this weekend by the Kirk House Band.

All LTAC and Alumni Association members are also invited to attend the Alumni and Friends Tailgate at Argent Pavilion three hours prior to each home game kickoff.
