RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech officials announced on Monday an agreement for a home-and-home football series with Tulsa beginning in Ruston in 2024 and continuing in Tulsa in 2025.

The two squads are set to meet on the gridiron first on September 21, 2024 at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, Louisiana. The Bulldogs will make the return trip to H.A. Chapman Stadium the following season, set for September 27, 2025 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The two sides have met a total of 10 times in their football histories with LA Tech leading the series with a 7-3 mark. Tech has won three of the last five meetings dating back to 2001. The series began in 1986 as the Bulldogs came away with a 22-17 road triumph in the first-ever meeting between the programs.

The Bulldogs and Golden Hurricane last met on the gridiron in 2013, where Tulsa took a 24-14 victory in Ruston. Tech’s last trip to Tulsa came back in 2003, where the home team staked a 48-18 triumph.

The Bulldogs play six home games this year, including the home opener on September 7 against Grambling State. Tech is coming off its fifth consecutive bowl victory and is one of just 25 FBS programs with 7+ wins in each of the past five seasons (2014-18).
