FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 10 Arkansas Razorbacks utilized a four-run second inning and a six-run eighth, taking an 11-0 victory over the visiting Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in the weekend finale from Baum-Walker Stadium in front of 7,572.

The Razorbacks (12-2) got out to a quick start, behind a four-run second inning. Second baseman Jack Kenley got the scoring started with an RBI single into center, followed by a Casey Martin three-run homer to left field.

Then, in the sixth, Kenley led off the bottom of the inning with a triple to right, and would come home to score on a sac fly from third baseman Jacob Nesbit.

The Hogs would add to their lead in the bottom of the seventh, tacking on six runs on six hits.

LA Tech (10-5) starter Logan Bailey pitched into the sixth inning (5.1 IP), while allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits. The southpaw struck out four and walked three.

Arkansas starter Cody Scroggins pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits. The right-hander struck out 11 and walked just one, while throwing 88 pitches.

Tech was without leadoff man Hunter Wells, who was forced to exit the game in the first inning due to injury. Parker Bates, Manny Garcia and Chris Clayton provided the only three hits of the game for the Tech offense. With his single to right in the fourth, Bates extended his team-best hitting streak to 11 games.

The Bulldogs struck out a season-high 16 times in the Sunday finale.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Beau Billings entered in relief of Bailey in the sixth. The Houston native allowed four runs (all earned) on three hits in his seventh relief outing of the season.

Jonathan Fincher pitched the final 1.2 innings, and did not allow a run, while striking out three and allowing just one hit.

The Bulldogs return to action with a pair of home midweek games vs. Sam Houston State set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 3 p.m. from J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
