Kora Donley, a Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies senior, celebrated her signing with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastic team this week.

Donley has been a member of the Haynes Varsity gymnastics team since 7th grade. This is her 13th year in competitive gymnastics where she trains at All-Star Gymnastics in Harvey. She is a five-time regional qualifier and serves as her team’s captain.

“Kora works hard in the classroom and equally hard (or harder) in the gym,” Haynes head coach Traci Vedros said. “She puts in about 20 hours of work per week at the gym where she works on improving her own skills and is also a leader and role model for younger gymnasts.”

Kora is an active member in the Student Council where she serves as the senior class historian. She is a member of National Honor Society, Rho Kappa and Science National Honor Society at Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, the highest ranked public high school in the state of Louisiana.

Kora plans to major in business at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
