Kenny Bordelon to appear at Saints Hall of Fame Museum before Sept. 9 opener

Former New Orleans Saints linebacker Kenny Bordelon will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m-11:15 a.m. prior to the New Orleans Saints season opener with Tampa Bay.

A native of New Orleans and an All-State player at Brother Martin and an All-SEC player at LSU, Bordelon played in 82 games, starting 31 for the Saints from 1976-1982.

Bordelon had three interceptions, including a memorable 19-yard interception return for a touchdown against future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and future Saint Ken Stabler of the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football on Dec. 3, 1979. Bordelon added two fumble recoveries in his career.

Bordelon will be available for pictures and autographs.

Located at Gate B on the Plaza level, the museum is open on game days two hours prior to game time until just before kickoff and for 45 minutes after each home game.

Admission is free on game day with a ticket to the game.

The museum is open by appointment only Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at a cost of $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (60 and over) and children under 12 and groups of 10 or more.
