The football playoff debut for Kenner Discovery will have to wait a day.

The Swamp Owls’ first-ever playoff game – a Class 3A bi-district matchup at Jena – has been pushed back to Saturday at 4:30 p.m. because of forecasted weather, Kenner Discovery coach P.J. Sprunk told Crescent City Sports.

The forecast in Jena calls for day-long rains on Friday, but only cloudy skies and a slight chance of a shower on Saturday.

The winner of the matchup between No. 22 seed Kenner Discovery (5-3) and the 11th-seeded Giants (5-2) will face either Jewel Sumner or Iota in the regional round next week.
