Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report starts 27th season Friday

The 27th year of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report debuts, a week late, this Friday night, Sept. 10 on flagship station NASH ICON, 106.1 FM and at www.nashfm1061.com.

The show, which has received local, statewide and national recognition, will be heard in part on network stations in Baton Rouge, Ruston, Slidell and Shreveport/Vivian as well.

Cumulus New Orleans Sports Director and CrescentCitySports.com owner Ken Trahan of returns to handle the best prep football coverage in Louisiana, comprised of six hours each Friday during the prep football season from 6 p.m.-midnight.

Coverage begins at 6 p.m. with Countdown to the Original, hosted by CCS contributor Les East along with CCS owner Jude Young of 106.1 FM.

The Countdown Show features analysis and live previews from game sites and a specific school night at Francesca’s by Katie’s Restaurant at 515 Harrison Avenue in Lakeview. The school nights will begin on Sept. 17.

The Original begins at 7 p.m. with Trahan and reports from up to 40 games from around the entire state of Louisiana.

The reports continue until the games end and a few winning coaches will appear following their contests.

The 10 o’clock hour features analysis from all major market areas in the state from top journalists in those markets.

Throughout the show, there will be scoreboard updates with Emmanuel Pepis, where you find all state scores updated all evening long while games are in progress until their conclusion.

Coverage concludes from 11 p.m.-midnight with the simulcast of Friday Night Football from WNOL and WGNO with Ed Daniels and J.T. Curtis.
