Karr-Ellender football playoff game moved to Saturday due to COVID-19 concerns

The LHSAA Class 4A first-round play game between No. 2 Karr and No. 31 Ellender will be played 2 p.m. Saturday at Hoss Memtsas Stadium.

The matchup shifted from the usual Friday night kickoff due to COVID-19 concerns at Ellender, according to Karr coach Brice Brown. The extra day is hoped to be sufficient for the game to be able to be played.

Karr (6-1) is seeking a fifth consecutive 4A state title while Ellender (3-4) did not play in the final week of the regular season.
