Kade Bleakley of St. Thomas Aquinas named Prep Player of Week

Senior quarterback Kade Bleakley of St. Thomas Aquinas has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week six of the prep football season.

Bleakley completed 27-of-42 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 17 times for 89 yards and four touchdowns as the Falcons downed Northlake Christian 52-31 in an important District 10-2A contest. Bleakley is coached by Hutch Gonzales.

Bleakley will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Dec. 12 at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans.

The Quarterback Club meets each Tuesday at Rock ‘n’ Bowl with speakers on the New Orleans Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football, along with wild card speakers from the world of sports.

The luncheons are open to the public with lunch served. The cost is $25 for non-members and $20 for members. Annual membership is $50.
