K.J. Malone announces retirement from football

K.J. Malone is leaving football behind him.

The Houston Texans placed the former LSU offensive lineman on the reserve/retired list Monday. Malone has decided to pursue a career in law enforcement.

The son of Hall of Fame basketball player Karl Malone attended Houston’s minicamp over the weekend. He started at left tackle for LSU the past two seasons but missed six games in 2017 with a knee injury.
