Jesuit’s Lanosga, Shaw’s Price earn Wrestling All-American status

Jesuit freshman Spencer Lanosga and Archbishop Shaw star Glenn Price attained the honor of becoming an All-American last weekend at the National High School Coaches Association Wrestling Nationals last weekend in Virginia Beach, VA.

Lanosga, who finished second to Gavin Soniat of East Ascension in the Division I state finals in Louisiana as a freshman, finished second in the NHSCA High School Wrestling Nationals last weekend at Virginia Beach, VA.

Lanosga lost 6-3 in the heavyweight title match to Navarro Schunke Brandon of South Dakota.

Price went 7-2, placing sixth in the nation at 113 pounds among juniors.

Along the way, Price defeated wrestlers from California, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wyoming.

Price is a three-time state champion in Louisiana in Division II with a year remaining with the Eagles.
