Jesuit, St. Joseph’s, U-High, Episcopal top Louisiana cross country rankings

Jesuit and St. Joseph’s Academy remain the unanimous top-ranked teams in the latest Louisiana Track & Field Coaches Association large schools poll.

The Blue Jays received all 10 first-place votes to rank first on the boys side with Ruston second and Catholic of Baron Rouge third. Mandeville was fourth with Brother Martin fifth. Belle Chasse is seventh and St. Paul’s is ninth.

The Redstickers received all 10 first-place votes to rank first on the girls side with Ruston second and Dominican third. Vandebilt Catholic is fourth and Mount Carmel Academy is fifth. Mandeville is sixth with St. Scholastica ninth.

University High is ranked No. 1 in the boys small school poll, receiving eight first-place votes. Episcopal is second with Dunham, who got the other two first-place votes, placing third. Parkview Baptist is fourth with D’Arbonne Woods fifth. Christ Episcopal is tenth.

Episcopal is first in the girls small school rankings with the Knights receiving all 10 first-place votes. Christ Episcopal if second with Episcopal of Acadiana third. Cedar Creek is fourth with E.D. White Catholic fifth. Newman is sixth with St. Martin’s Episcopal seventh.
