Jesuit-Rummel baseball game to air Tuesday on WGSO

The District 9-5A contest pitting Jesuit against Archbishop Rummel will be broadcast Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. on WGSO 990 AM and at WGSO.com.

WGSO Sports Director Ken Trahan of CrescentCitySports.com will have the call with coach Danny Riehm from Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

The Blue Jays (21-8, 8-2), the leaders in the Catholic League, are coming off an 8-3 victory Saturday over Holy Cross in a game shown live on CCS.

Seth Dardar is batting .400 with a home run and 16 RBI while Will Hellmers, the top pitcher for Jesuit, has a .393 average with three home runs and 16 RBI.

Rummel’s Ron Franklin is batting .335 with two home runs and 22 RBI while Chandler Fields sports a .333 everage with a home run and 23 RBI for the Raiders (17-12, 4-6), who are coming off of a sweep of St. Augustine.
