Jesuit, Parkview Baptist, E.D. White, St. Joseph’s top state cross country rankings

The first Louisiana Track and Field Association cross country polls for the season are out.

Defending Division I boys state champion Jesuit is the top-ranked team among large schools. The Blue Jays were elite a year ago, claiming the top five individual spots in the state meet and seven of the first nine finishers.

District rival Brother Martin is ranked second.

In Division II, defending state champion Parkview Baptist holds the top spot with Newman second among the boys small schools.

On the girls side, defending Division I state champion St. Joseph’s Academy top the large school rankings with Mount Carmel Academy second.

E.D. White Catholic sits atop the girls small school rankings with Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy second.
