Jesuit, Holy Cross, Lusher, ESA maintain top spots in boys soccer rankings

Area Prep Soccer Report for Tuesday, Jan. 5

Once again, there is no change at the top of the Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches Association rankings.

In Division I, unbeaten Jesuit (7-0-1) remains on top with Catholic of Baton Rouge (6-1) second. St. Paul’s is third (13-3). Captain Shreve is No. 4 with St. Amant fifth. Brother Martin is ranked eighth.

Holy Cross (12-2-2) remains on top in Division II with Ben Franklin (8-2-2) second and St. Thomas More (5-5) third. East Jefferson is fourth with Parkway fifth. Bonnabel is seventh.

In Division III, unbeaten Lusher Charter (9-0-2) is No. 1 with University High (6-1-3) second and unbeaten Parkview Baptist (8-0-1) third. Loyola Prep is fourth with North Vermilion fifth.

Episcopal of Acadiana (3-1-2) stays No. 1 in Division IV with Pope John Paul II (7-2-1) second. Northlake Christian (5-0) is third with Newman fourth and Episcopal fifth. Country Day is sixth and St. Thomas Aquinas is No. 9.
