Jesuit handles Rummel on mat

Jesuit continues to prepare to challenge Brother Martin and Catholic in the state wrestling meet in three weeks at Bossier City.

The Blue Jays downed Archbishop Rummel 49-22 in dual meet action Wednesday evening, winning eight of the 13 matches contested.

Scoring falls for Jesuit were John Michael Bourgeois (126), Chase Haydel (132), James Nolan (138), Arthur Schott (160) and  Cam Himel (182) and Jackson Calderaro (195).

Scoring pins for the Raiders were Gavin Ohlmeyer (120) and Austen Shook (145).

The best match was at 152 pounds as Wyatt Mire of the Blue Jays edged Cameron Gandolfi of the Raiders 8-7.
