Jesuit cancels rest of hoops regular season because of coronavirus

Jesuit has canceled the final four regular season games in basketball because of COVID-19 protocols, Jesuit athletic director David Moreau confirmed to Crescent City Sports Friday.

The games impacted include Friday’s game at Holy Cross, Saturday’s game at Brother Martin and home games next week with Holy Cross and Riverside Academy.

The Blue Jays will be cleared to participate in the Division I playoffs. The brackets will be announced Feb. 22.

Jesuit ends the regular season at 18-9. It is currently No. 5 in the unofficial LHSAA power rankings for Division I.
