Jesters seek revenge Saturday night vs. Southern States SC
New Orleans – The New Orleans Jesters take on Southern States SC on Saturday night at Pan American Stadium; gates open at 6:00 PM with kickoff set for 7:00 PM ($10, nolajesters.com).
This game will be the second of the season between the clubs with SSSC winning the opener 4-0 back on May 14; however, the Jesters have been in outstanding form of late and are unbeaten dating back to May 28.
Head coach Kenny Farrell is looking for another strong performance for his side.
“The team has been in a great place over the past few weeks not just in the games but also in the way they have approached training. They have been working very hard and playing some good attacking football. If they continue to focus and work hard the results will follow.”
The Jesters won twice last week with a 3-1 versus Pensacola and then a 6-2 victory over Tallahassee SC.
The win versus Tallahassee SC was particularly notable with both Maxi and Lucho Gallizzi recording hat tricks in the match. Maxi Galizzi has now scored a team-leading eight goals on the season.
Southern States SC (6-2-0) enters the game in second place in the Gulf Coast standings two points ahead of the New Orleans Jesters (5-2-1).
The New Orleans Jesters play a twelve-game NPSL regular season schedule with all six home matches at Pan American Stadium. To purchase tickets or for more information: www.nolajesters.com.
