New Orleans – The New Orleans Jesters will kick off their 2022 NPSL campaign on Saturday May 7 vs AFC Mobile. The game is at Pan American Stadium, City Park; gates open at 5:30 PM with kick off set for 7:00 PM ($10,

This will be the first game New Orleans have played since the end of the 2021 season that saw the Jesters advance to the Gulf Coast Championship game. Head coach Kenny Farrell is looking forward to getting the team back out on the field,

“We cannot wait to get started on Saturday. This is the date that we all have been looking forward to . The team has been working very hard in training and they are up for the challenge. We know AFC Mobile is a strong side but we will be giving it our all to get a positive result.”

The Jesters roster features fourteen returning players including veteran forwards Tony Judice and Mason Morise, midfielders Adam Toras, Jowayne Laidley and Luciano Galizzi, goalkeeper Lamoy Graham and defenders Eddie Choe and Guy Baskerville.

The squad also includes several young local players led by goalkeeper Jourdan Schumacher and midfielder Sammy Nicholls who both recently completed their rookie seasons at College. Lusher high school standouts Russell Brown and Aiden Kriek also join the team for the season.

New additions to the squad include Luciano Galizzis’ older brother Maxi Galizzi and three young European players James Raptis (UK), Manuel Cukaj (Germany) and Floris van Nidjnanten (Netherlands) plus forward Santiago Agudelo, a native of Columbia who most recently played for pro side Chattanooga FC.

In addition to the match there will be a fun-filled family pre-game party with a pony petting area from Pony Tales and face-painting.
