Looking for a second straight home win of the week, the Jesters are home Saturday night versus Tallahassee SC.

In the victory over Pensacola, New Orleans opened the scoring in the 8th minute from a corner. Midfielder Victor Dominguez whipped the ball into the near post and defender Guy Baskerville got across his marker to snap a header home.

Pensacola fought back and pulled level ten minutes later. Forward Prince Owusu received the ball on the left side of the box and hit a low drive past Jesters goalkeeper Lamoy Graham, the ball clipped the inside of the post on the way in.

New Orleans had the better of the remainder of the half with Domínguez denied by McMillan in the 37th minute and then just before the break Mason Morise saw his long range effort tipped just over the bar.

Pensacola almost took the lead on the hour mark but midfielder Gerard Dass lifted his shot over the bar from 12 yards out.

Five minutes later New Orleans retook the lead after Mason Morise was brought down just outside the box. Maxi Galizzi took the free kick and bent his shot around the wall and into the goal to make it 2-1.

Substitute midfielder Russell Brown put the result beyond doubt in the 80th minute with a weighted shot from distance, taking advantage of McMillan who was caught out of position in the build up.

The Jesters currently sit in third place in the NPSL South’s Gulf Coast Division.
