Jesters host Jacksonville Armada on Saturday night
New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters take on Jacksonville Armada Saturday night at Pan American Stadium; gates open at 6:00 PM with kick off set for 7:00 PM ($10, nolajesters.com).
New Orleans will be looking to bounce back from the 4-0 away defeat suffered at the hands of SSSC back on May 14.
Jesters Head coach Kenny Farrell is relishing the chance to play in front of the home support.
“The players have used the ten days since SSSC to refocus and have been working very hard in training,” Farrell said. The group are showing good determination and will be doing their upmost to get a positive result Saturday night. The support we received from the fans back on May 7 was superb and we’re looking forward to more of the same this weekend.”
The Jesters opened their NPSL campaign with a 3-1 win versus AFC Mobile on May 7 behind goals from Max Galiizzi (2) and Guy Baskerville but dropped to the second game at Southern States. New Orleans had a bye week last weekend and did not play.
The Jacksonville Armada have got off to a flying start to the season. After posting a 2-2 draw in their opening match versus Tallahassee the Armada have won three straight including a pair of 4-1 wins over Florida Roots and Pensacola FC.
The Jesters and the Armada played three times in the 2021 season with Jacksonville defeating New Orleans in both regular season games. New Orleans responded when it mattered however beating Jacksonville 3-1 on the road in the NPSL Gulf Coast semifinal round.
The New Orleans Jesters play a twelve-game NPSL regular season schedule with all six home matches at Pan American Stadium. Season ticket packages and group tickets are also available at www.nolajesters.com.
