New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters face two critical tests this week as they conclude the regular season with a pair of home matches.

the Jesters face Tallahassee SC in a make-up game Tuesday night from the June 19 postponed fixture. On Saturday night New Orleans closes out the regular season versus Florida Roots.

The Jesters head into the final week of the NPSL season knowing that consecutive home victories will guarantee a place in the Gulf Coast Conference playoffs.

New Orleans Jesters head coach Kenny Farrell,

“The players have worked tremendously hard over the course of the season and I couldn’t be prouder of the effort and application that they have put forth. We know what is required with these last two games and we are looking forward to finishing off the regular season in front of our superb home fans.”

New Orleans enters the final week in fourth position in the NPSL Gulf Coast standings battling AFC Mobile, Port City FC and Tallahassee SC for the fourth and final playoff place. Two wins would guarantee fourth position regardless of other results in the conference.

Tuesday’s match versus Tallahassee SC was originally scheduled for June 26 but was postponed due to a tropical storm impacting Tallahassee’s travel to New Orleans. The Jesters and Tallahassee played to a 0-0 draw on June 5 in the first meeting between the clubs.

Saturday night the Jesters close out the season versus Florida Roots who are eliminated from postseason contention. The Jesters defeated the Roots 1-0 in Panama City back on June 3.

Both games will be played at Pan American Stadium; gates open at 6 PM with kick off set for 7 PM ($10, nolajesters.com).
