Jack Mashburn of St. Paul’s named Metro Prep Player of Week

Junior quarterback Jack Mashburn of St. Paul’s is the R&L Carriers/Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club, CrescentCitySports.com and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week 10 of the prep football season in metro New Orleans.

Mashburn completed 23-of-32 passes for 271 yards and a touchdown and rushed 18 times for 131 yards and two touchdowns as St. Paul’s rallied past Holy Cross 27-24 in the opening round of the Division I state playoffs.

Mashburn is coached by Ken Sears. He will be honored at the year end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Dec. 12 at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans.

The Quarterback Club meets weekly each Tuesday at noon at Rock ‘n’ Bowl and is open to the public. Lunch is served and there are speakers on the New Orleans Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football each week.
