He has won more games than any high school coach in Louisiana prep football history.

In fact, he is the second winningest coach in the history of prep football in the United States.

J.T. Curtis was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2010, the National High School Hall of Fame in 2015 and he was inducted into the Allstate Sugar Bowl Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.

Curtis has won 27 state championships on the field in his illustrious career, entering his 53rd year as head coach of the John Curtis Christian Patriots in 2021.

In 2021, it is inevitable that Curtis will reach the elite level of 600 victories for his career to become just the second coach in United States history to do so.

Curtis has assumed many important positions at the school that bears his father’s (and his) name, including headmaster, principal, athletic director, baseball coach and, of course, football coach.

Curtis also serves as the pastor of Coliseum Place Baptist Church, which meets at the school on Sunday mornings.

Come hear an inspirational message from J.T. Curtis at the weekly Life Resources Bottom Line Luncheon on Wednesday, June 23 at noon at Piccadilly Cafeteria, 2222 Clearview Parkway in Metairie.

All are welcome to attend.
