Hudson Haskin named Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Just under two months away from the start of the 2020 regular season, Tulane sophomore outfielder Hudson Haskin has picked up his first preseason honor as he was named to the Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-America Second Team the publication announced on Tuesday morning.

Haskin began his Tulane career with a bang as he finished his first collegiate season in 2019 second on the team with a .372 batting average after playing in 56 games with 50 starts. His 77 hits and 52 RBI were third on the team, finishing second on the squad in doubles with 19, triples with four, home runs with 10.

By the end of the year Haskin had staked his claim as one of the top young players in college as he was bestowed with a host of award including being named to the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team, LSWA Freshman of the Year and first team All-Louisiana.

This is the second honor received from Collegiate Baseball, as he was named to the 2019 Freshmen All-America Team, while also being selected as a NCBWA Freshman All-America Team, D1Baseball Freshman All-America First Team and the Baseball America All-America Second Team.

Tulane will open the 2020 season on February 14 at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium with a three-game series against Florida Gulf Coast.
