Stretching

Sometimes not knowing where to start can be the start of many excuses. But we have faith that with our tips below, we can get you to a healthier place.

We know that there’s a natural progression with exercise. If you exercise 5 days consecutively, the following week you will naturally be able to and want to do more.

Get started with an exercise routine with our three tips:

1. Find something you like

Try walking, running, spinning, weight lifting, Zumba, yoga, swimming. Find a few you like. Knowing you like it will give you more incentive to actually do it.

2. Start slow

Pace yourself and don’t compare yourself to others. Start with 2-3 weeks of consistent exercise and working out will become part of your routine! Also, don’t feel like you have to lift that heavy weight just because they guy next to you did.

3. Just do it

There will be days that you don’t want to do anything. (And we get it.) But you need to pick yourself up and go. 15 minutes of walking is better than 15 minutes of sitting.

When exercise is fun and planned, it will get done, and you won’t dread doing it.

Think of your fitness as going to school. Set your goal (diploma), workout consistently (go to class), and reach your goal (graduate.)
