Holy Cross downs Shaw on lanes

Holy Cross made the trip to Harvey and defeated Archbishop Shaw 18-9 Monday afternoon in New Orleans Prep Bowling League action.

The Tigers jumped on the Eagles immediately, winning game one 6-2. Bryan Arena fired a huge 246 game to pace Holy Cross while Gavin Mays had a 193 and Carter Holmes shot 187. Joseph Jimenez was tops for the Eagles with a 211 game.

Holy Cross pretty much wrapped up the win with a 7-1 victory in game two. Gavin Mays fired a 247, Arena shot 195 and Adam Popich shot a 192 game for the Tigers. Quentin Bullie was high for the Eagles with a 198 game.

The Eagles took game three 6-2 as Cadence Chesterman had a 226 game for Shaw while Quentin Bullie shot a 211 game. Arena shot 191 while Holmes had a 177 game for Holy Cross, who won total pins for the solid winning margin of victory.

Arena finished with a 632 series for the Tigers while Mays had a 605. Jimenez had a 522 for Shaw.
