Hahnville pair sign to play junior college baseball
Hahnville Tiger seniors Joey Saucier and Maxwell Farrell will be moving on to play at the Junior College level after tremendous careers at Hahnville. Both signed letters of intent today at Hahnville High School.
Joey has signed with Baton Rouge Community College. Joey was an All-District and All-Metro performer on the mound for the Tigers. He had a 12 and 7 record with a 2.93 earned run average as a three year starter. Joey, the ace of the staff, led the Tigers in innings pitched, strikeouts and ERA in his junior and senior seasons. Joey joins former Tigers Braxton Dufrene and Dane Wise playing for the Bears.
Maxwell was a dual sport participant at Hahnville, starting in both football and baseball. On the diamond, Max will continue his career at Nunez Community College. He was an all-district performer in his senior campaign carrying a .347 career batting average and scored 53 runs on the base paths. Maxwell is the first Tiger to join the Pelicans from Chalmette.
