H.L. Bourgeois head football coach Tawaskie Anderson has resigned from his position.

School athletic director Andrew Caillouet confirmed the news to Houma Today, citing Anderson’s decision to return to Texas after the devastating impacts of Hurricane Ida in the bayou region.

The Braves will now be led by assistant Sterling Washington, who has been named interim head coach. Like most teams in that area, HLB has yet to place a regular season game.
