NEW ORLEANS, La. – After helping Tulane twirl its first no-hitter since 2005, junior Pitcher Braden Olthoff for the second consecutive week has been named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week the league announced on Monday, while junior Trevor Minder was named to the league’s weekly honor roll for the first time.

Through the first three weeks of the season a Tulane player has been honored by the conference four times, with Braden earning the top pitching honor last week, Minder earning his first nod on the weekly honor roll and senior Ty Johnson being named to the league’s weekly honor roll after week one of competition.

Olthoff not only won his third consecutive start in the win on Friday, he also helped set the table for Tulane to toss its first no-hitter in 15 years as he pitched the first 6.0 innings, striking out eight on only 65 pitches, getting nine batters to ground out and one to fly out.

For his efforts over the course of the month, he was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Month for February.

Minder finished his first month with the Green Wave on a tear, as he helped the Green Wave to a sweep of Middle Tennessee by hitting a walk-off 3-run home run on Saturday, following that up by becoming the first Tulane player to hit for the cycle since 2013 and only the third player to do it since 2001.

Tulane will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon, taking on the Texas Southern Tigers at 1 p.m. at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
