Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards said Tuesday that he expects Tiger Stadium to be at 25 percent capacity this fall for LSU football games.

He noted his reasoning is in line with other SEC schools who have made similar announcements.

With a stadium capacity at over 103,000, LSU will be able to have a little over 25,000 people in attendance for their five home games.

Edwards disputed that he is in disagreement with LSU officials over the number of fans that will be allowed to attend football games in the 2020 season due to the pandemic.

LSU hosts Mississippi State to open the season Sept. 26 in Baton Rouge.
