Gold Nuggets chosen to win GCAC volleyball title in Coaches’ Preseason Poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – XULA has claimed the last nine GCAC Volleyball Championships and are the odds-on favorite to prolong the streak to double-digits.

Xavier University of Louisiana is riding a 41-match winning streak in conference play and received five of the seven first-place votes.

The Lady Bleu Devils of Dillard are seen to be the top competitor to knock the gold and green off its perch, garnering the other two first-place votes.

Behind Xavier and Dillard, the trio of Edward Waters, Philander Smith and Talladega all tied for third place while Tougaloo and Rust were picked sixth and seventh, respectively.
