Girls Bowling: Chapelle remains unbeaten, tops Holy Rosary

Barely 24 hours after moving into the No. 1 slot in the unofficial LHSAA power ratings, Archbishop Chapelle continues its unbeaten run with a 23-4 victory over Holy Rosary Thursday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.

Left-hander Jessica Ladd led the Chipmunks (9-0) with a 574 series, including a 212 final game. Sarah Rubi had a 520 set for Chapelle.

With Kate Beaudoin out of the lineup because of illness, Chapelle made its first lineup change of the year, inserting Kate’s sister Khloe Beaudoin into the No. 1 slot.

Bailey James led Holy Rosary (2-7) with a 461 series.

Academy of Our Lady 25, Chalmette 2: The defending state champion Penguins, which lost their last two matches to Chapelle, got back on the winning track by defeating the Owls.

Senior Danielle Poussard led AOL (6-2) with a 267 second game and a 621 series as the Penguins fired a 2,978 team series. Linzie Bladsacker had a 203 opening game and a 554 set.

Allison Deffes paced Chalmette (2-7) with a 515 series.
